Job Description
A Citrix Sr. Solutions Engineer is a proven technical leader within Alchemy Technology Group organization who provides superior delivery services to customers, demonstrates technical mastery and is a subject matter expert. The role is accountable for reinforcing and continued development of the Alchemy mission of transformative disruption in both theory and practice.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Function as a technical influencer to support the company mission, vision, and overall strategy.
- • Engineer Citrix technical solutions centered on their core technology stack.
- Design, architect, and engineer technical infrastructure solutions centered around Citrix virtualization technologies, including:
- Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (Versions 6.5 – Cloud)
- Citrix NetScaler (Application Delivery Controller)
- Citrix StoreFront
- Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
- Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
- Citrix Federated Authentication Services (FAS)
- Citrix Hypervisor
- Citrix on Azure Virtual Desktop
- Citrix Gateway Service
- Citrix Cloud Features (Secure Browser, SPA, Security & Analytics)
- Deliver statements of work, provide peer review to final deliverables, create well-crafted documentation for the assigned engagements, and help mentor junior consultants.
- Track time and expenses daily to ensure compliance with professional services and consulting policies.
- Provide pre-sales/technical support to Alchemy Account Executives to drive revenue and opportunity expansion within new and existing accounts.
- Maintain a current understanding of the Citrix technology solutions within your subject matter area, relevant certifications, and any secondary skill sets (IGEL, Numecent, Control Up, AVD, Okta, Nutanix, etc.).
- Comply with established policies and procedures communicated to all personnel by the Alchemy leadership team.
- Uphold the values of Alchemy, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful engagement closeouts.
- Work effectively with peers from the business, sales, and services to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Maintain a profitable utilization rate 70%
Job Requirements:
As an Alchemist, the preliminary qualifications for employment are attitude and aptitude. These are essential characteristics to begin the journey towards extraordinary outcomes. To complete the profile as a Citrix Sr. Solutions Engineer, the following qualifications are required:
- Ideally, the candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar field.
- Demonstrate at least eight (8) years of applied/gained experience working with Citrix technologies in a consulting or customer setting.
- Exceptional knowledge in deploying basic to complex Citrix solutions for both on-premises and cloud.
- Applicable certifications demonstrating mastery of core components for the respective technologies:
- Workspace and App Delivery & Security
- CCP <-> CCE – Virtualization
- CCP <-> CCE – App Delivery & Security
- Citrix Cloud on Azure / AWS
- Advanced understanding and delivery of Citrix Security solutions Federated Authentication Services (FAS) as to how the solution provide enhanced security for organizations.
- Advanced understanding of supplemental technologies that work in conjunction with the Citrix technologies to include:
- Microsoft, VMware, IGEL, Control Up, Numecent, Ivanti, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 7 – 11 and Windows Server 2008R2/ 2012/ 2016/ 2019/ 2022.
- Advanced understanding of Citrix supplemental technologies including but not limited to the following:
- High-end Graphics (NVIDIA)
- Profile Management Solutions (CPM / FSLogix)
- Print Management Solutions o Single Sign-On Solutions (SAML Integration with customer’s IdP)
- Thin Client Solutions
- Intermediate understanding of physical and logical network concepts including firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers.
- Advanced experience leveraging Active Directory (Users, Groups, OU’s, and Group Policy Objects) and complete understanding of core infrastructure services including PKI, DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
- Advanced knowledge of mainstream hypervisor platforms including: VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, and Citrix Hypervisor;
- Advanced experience working with Citrix NetScaler (ADC).
- Detail oriented with the ability to analyze, explain, and document methodically.
- Ability to work with limited oversight with a self-starter expectation to complete work task(s).
- Possess ability to be flexible with clients’ visions and directions without compromising quality.

- Ability to coordinate and communicate with internal resources to provide understanding and awareness of engagements.
