Job Description
A Presales Microsoft Solution Architect is a technical contributor within Alchemy Technology Group who provides technical sales and services support to Account Executives, Sales Operations, and customers, demonstrating technical proficiency and subject matter expertise. The role is accountable for reinforcing the Alchemy mission of transformative disruption in both theory and practice.
Role and Responsibilities
- Function as a technical contributor to support the company mission, vision, and overall strategy
- Describe and demo technical infrastructure solutions centered around the Alchemy technology stack
- Explain and capture customer requirements for projects relating to the Microsoft solution stack
- Create estimates, statements of work, and proposals for customer opportunities
This must be done in a timely manner.
- Provide technical, licensing, and advisory support to Alchemy customer to help solve their business challenges
- Maintain a current understanding of the technology solutions within your subject matter area, relevant certifications and any secondary skill sets
- Comply with established policies and procedures communicated to all personnel by the Alchemy leadership team
- Uphold the values of Alchemy, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful engagement closeout
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with your teammates and Account Managers
Qualifications and Education
As an Alchemist, the preliminary qualifications for employment are attitude and aptitude. These are essential characteristics to begin the journey towards extraordinary outcomes. To complete the profile as a Presales Microsoft Solution Architect, the following qualifications are required:
- Ideally, the candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field
- Four (4) years of applied experience working with the respective technologies in a consulting or enterprise or prior presales setting
- Advanced knowledge in deploying basic to complex vendor solutions
- Applicable certifications demonstrating proficiency in core components for the respective technologies
- Advanced understanding of supplemental technologies that work in conjunction with the respective technology
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and the modern desktop experience
- Prior experience supporting the Microsoft cloud in a presales role is preferred
- Working knowledge of the advanced Microsoft security suite (defender) and Azure security
- Well-versed in the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework
- Understanding of Microsoft licensing, especially the Cloud Solution Provider licensing and license migrations
- Prior experience with the Microsoft Partner programs is preferred.
- Sound understanding of physical and logical networking concepts
- Previous experience working with complex infrastructure projects
- Previous experience working with migrations of all types, including infrastructure/servers, identity, mailbox, content, workstations in a multi-forest environment and premise-to-cloud
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze, explain, and document methodically
- Ability to work with limited oversight with a self-starter expectation to complete work task(s)
- Possess the ability to be flexible with clients’ visions and directions without compromising quality
